Formula 1 has extended its broadcast partnership with ESPN across 18 countries in Latin America (excluding Mexico and Brazil) and the Caribbean through the end of the 2028 season, the series announced Feb. 24.
The renewed deal, which began ahead of the Melbourne season opener, gives fans every practice and qualifying session, F1 Sprint, and Grand Prix, plus driver interviews and analysis. A broader agreement also covers Formula 2 and Formula 3, F1 Academy, and the Porsche Super Cup.
Coverage runs across ESPN linear and digital platforms, including Disney+, ESPN Premium in Chile, and Fox Sports networks in Argentina. Commentators Fernando Tornello and Juan Fossaroli headline the regional presentation.
“ESPN has been a trusted broadcast partner for many years, so we are excited to continue our collaboration, and take our sport to even more fans as we witness incredible growth across Latin America and the Caribbean,” Formula 1 Chief Media Rights and Broadcasting Officer Ian Holmes said.
For Austin and U.S. readers tracking the global media map: Apple now holds U.S. rights after ESPN’s domestic deal ended after 2025, while ESPN remains a cornerstone partner across Spanish-speaking LATAM and the Caribbean into the new-regulations era.
