The United States Grand Prix is back in Austin next month. Circuit of the Americas lists the event as Oct. 22–25, 2026. Formula 1’s title for the race is the Formula 1 MSC Cruises United States Grand Prix 2026.
Single-day tickets on the COTA site are built around Friday through Sunday, Oct. 23–25: practice and a Maroon 5 concert on Friday, qualifying and a Post Malone concert on Saturday, and the grand prix plus an Alesso concert on Sunday. Concert upgrades on that page are at the Germania Insurance Super Stage. A race ticket is required before a concert upgrade can be added.
What the circuit page says
Formula 1’s circuit page credits the design to Hermann Tilke in collaboration with the American firm HKS. It says Mario Andretti opened the track on Oct. 21, 2012, and that the first Formula 1 race there, later in 2012, was the first United States Grand Prix since Indianapolis in 2007. That 2012 race was Lewis Hamilton’s last win for McLaren.
The same Formula 1 page lists the circuit at 5.513 kilometers, a 56-lap race, and a race distance of 308.432 kilometers. The fastest lap it lists is 1:36.169, set by Charles Leclerc in 2019.
Session clock
Formula 1’s schedule widget for Austin can be toggled between the reader’s local time and track time, and fan guides have not all printed the same Sunday clock. This post does not state a start time. The session clock to use is the one on the official race page, set to track time if you are planning the day in Austin.
The on-track shape of the weekend, from that Formula 1 listing, is practice on Friday, Oct. 23, a third practice and qualifying on Saturday, Oct. 24, and the race on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Getting there
COTA’s event page is the source for tickets, parking, and the daily schedule. The circuit’s own single-day ticket note currently shows a starting price of $109.13. Prices move, so the number that matters is the one on the ticket page on the day you buy.
