The Oklahoma City Thunder remain the favorites to win their second championship in a row, followed by the Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons.

Speaking of the Pistons, their star guard Cade Cunningham (+425) is one to watch for the MVP as he continues to see his odds get shorter. While Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (-125) and Nikola Jokic (+325) remain the frontrunners for the award, Doug Purdum wrote Wednesday that both are nearing MVP ineligibility. Entering Wednesday, Jokic has one “missed game” left to remain eligible, while SGA has six left.

Gilgeous-Alexander has already been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against Detroit and will need to play in at least 16 of the remaining 22 regular-season games to be eligible for a second consecutive MVP award.
