The penultimate day of the Olympics feels like the calm before the storm.
After the U.S. women’s ice hockey team won the gold medal against Canada in a thrilling game on Thursday, the U.S. men continued to advance to the gold medal game with a win over Slovakia on Friday. They will have a day off before facing Canada in the gold medal game on Sunday, the final event of the 2026 Winter Olympics before the closing ceremony.
That doesn’t mean there’s nothing worth watching on Saturday. The USA women’s curling team has a bronze medal match against Canada, and Elaine Gu is looking to win another medal in the women’s freestyle halfpipe final.
