Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. Here are our player ratings from the game.
(A score of 6 is around average)
Senne Lammens 5 – Brilliant save to deny Rayan in the first half. Another solid performance but well and truly beaten for Christie’s goal and the penalty.
Diogo Dalot 4 – A number of sloppy passes, one of which almost ended up in a Bournemouth goal. Got forward well but woeful again in promising shooting positions.
Leny Yoro 7 – Another solid performance. He linked up well with Maguire in an end-to-end affair that never let up.
Harry Maguire 2 – He was doing well until he got sent off for a reckless last-man challenge on Evanilson, which also saw the Cherries awarded a penalty to restore parity.
Luke Shaw 4 – Struggled against the tricky and rapid Rayan. Barely got forward to help out in attack.
Casemiro 5 – A gritty display in a frenzied midfield scrap, though he lacked the attacking verve he has displayed in recent outings.
Kobbie Mainoo 6.5 – Showed his trademark calm and composure in the middle of the park. Diffused several chaotic situations and was brilliant both on and off the ball.
Bruno Fernandes 8 – Broke the deadlock from the penalty spot and delivered the killer ball, which temporarily restored United’s advantage.
Amad 6 – Two very good chances to find the back of the net, but wasted the best chance of the first half with a poor first touch. Faded slightly in the second half.
Matheus Cunha 7 – Enjoyed a good battle with Jimenez, often coming out on top. Won the penalty from which the Red Devils went ahead.
Bryan Mbeumo 3 – Another underwhelming display. Struggled to hold up the ball and even deliver his passes. Rightfully the first one to be taken off.
Substitutes
Benjamin Sesko 5 – Didn’t have much opportunity to attack.
Ayden Heaven 5 – Filled in for Maguire after he was given his marching orders.
Manuel Ugarte 5 – Just OK
Mason Mount 5 – On for the dying embers.
