Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot dropped a thrilling prediction regarding teammate Benjamin Sesko, as he extended his fine run of form during Sunday’s victory over Aston Villa.
Red-hot Sesko
Sesko’s impressive run of form since the turn of the year shows no sign of abating. The forward was on target again on Sunday as United downed Villa 3-1 at Old Trafford to consolidate their place in third.
Casemiro gave United the lead over Unai Emery’s men, but Ross Barkley drew the side level shortly after.
However, United galvanised and launched an assault on the visitors, with Bruno Fernandes leading the charge. Fernandes delivered an excellent pass into the space for Matheus Cunha, who obliged by applying an equally impressive finish to restore United’s advantage.
Introduced from the bench, Sesko made an immediate impact. Showing sharp instincts, he leapt over a defender, controlled the ball and executed a swift pivot before smashing it home to make it 3-1 and seal the victory.
The strike was Sesko’s eighth in his last ten appearances.
Last month, the Slovenian won United’s Player of the Month award, Goal of the Month award and also scooped up the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month accolade.
He is showing no signs of slowing down, whether he starts games or is named on the bench.
Dalot, a close friend of Sesko, spoke to DAZN and predicted that the 22-year-old can be one of the best in the world.

Dalot said [as quoted by the Metro], “From the start we got along well.”
“I felt a responsibility to help him understand the context he’s in.”
The Portugal international added, “If you combine the qualities he has off the pitch with the ones he has on it, I believe he will be one of the best strikers in the world.”
United are next in action on Friday when they go away to Bournemouth.
