The Exeter star was making his return from injury, having not played since January

England wing Immanuel Feyi-Waboso made a stunning return from injury, with a superb solo try against Munster in the Challenge Cup round of 16 that left commentators stunned.

The Cardiff-born wing injured his hamstring while training with England ahead of the Six Nations and has not featured since Exeter’s Prem loss at Bristol on 24 January.

The 23-year-old, who started all four of England’s autumn internationals, missed the entire Six Nations.

However, he made an instant impact upon his return to Exeter’s side on Saturday.

Having been heavily involved in one of Exeter’s earlier tries, he then took things up a notch with a brilliant individual effort to end a dominant half for the Gallagher Prem side.

Taking Tom Hooper’s pass in space, the wing scythed past Munster defenders – stepping his way to the line for a remarkable score.

Premier Sports commentator Jamie Lyall said: “Feyi-Waboso, are you kidding me? Magical, just magical. Exeter’s showtopper with a grandstand moment.

Former Ireland wing Simon Zebo was equally effusive on comms, adding: “Just another example of getting the ball into the hands of a man who is so dangerous.

“It’s just getting the ball into the guy’s hands. He’s beaten men – one, two, three. The power that he has.”

Speaking before the match, Feyi-Waboso admitted it was good to be back after three months on the sidelines.

“So happy to be back,” said the England wing. “It’s felt like a long time.

“Couldn’t ask for anything better to come back to.”

The winner of Exeter’s match against Munster will take on either Cardiff or Benetton – with that game being played later on Saturday evening.
