Manchester United will be looking to add creativity to their midfield in the summer.
With the Red Devils looking on course to qualify for the Champions League next season, fans will be expecting the team to battle on all four fronts.
That means the onus of creating chances cannot only fall on Bruno Fernandes, who has been linked with a shock summer exit as well.
One name that has resurfaced is that of Galatasaray’s Gabriel Sara, who has been in scintillating form recently.
United want to add creativity to the midfield
The Brazilian was the subject of failed bids from Premier League rivals Leeds United and Sunderland in January.
But given his current form, bigger fish have now been attracted with United leading the chase as per Fotospor.
“It has been learned that the Brazilian footballer held some talks with Premier League teams Sunderland and Leeds United during the mid-season transfer window.
“However, both the player and Galatasaray Club did not find the offers sufficient. Thus, Gabriel Sara remained with the Yellow-Red team.
Gabriel Sara fits the bill
“The Brazilian’s recent performance has been incredible. The Juventus match changed many things. Sara is now attracting interest from one of the giants of English football, Manchester United.”
The Juventus match in question showed exactly what Gabriel Sara is capable of. One goal and an assist and multiple chances created.
In the Turkish Super Lig, the 26-year-old ranks in the top percentile for expected assists and successful crosses (via fotmob).
United could certainly do with a player of his ilk. His current market value stands at €20 million as per Transfermarkt but he is expected to cost a lot more.
