By the time Selection Sunday arrives, there will be plenty of movement in the projected field of 68 for the 2026 NCAA Tournament with teams that are in as well as those looking to enter.

While our Tuesday and Friday bracketology updates allow us to look at the March Madness race as a whole twice a week, the results matter every day and can affect teams — whether they play or not.

Men’s bracketologist Joe Lunardi is tracking every relevant game every night — and why shouldn’t you?

Here, we provide an inside look at the headlines and upcoming matchups that inform Joey Brackett’s calculations on any given night, as he projects the teams that could be named on Election Sunday (March 15).

A few housekeeping items: This page will be updated daily between lunchtime, Monday and Saturday. Games are listed by importance of bracket movement. A team’s projection on that day is listed in parentheses unless otherwise noted.

Friday-Saturday, February 13-14

title

  • Battle of the Top: A UConn loss to Georgetown would open the door for Houston to grab the last No. 1 seed.

  • A chance for No. 1: An Arizona loss to Texas Tech would allow Michigan to beat UCLA to go No. 1 overall.

  • A bubble update: All but three of the 16 bubble teams are in action on Saturday, so expect a fair amount of movement throughout the day and into the evening.

  • Injury concerns?: Caleb Wilson’s injury won’t affect North Carolina’s seed unless/unless the Tar Heels lose without him.

Games that may affect the bracket

  • (11) Miami (OH) at Ohio. The undefeated Redhawks stay in the field if they lose just one game. Fri., 9 p.m., ESPN

  • (4) Texas Tech (1) at Arizona. Arizona is playing for the No. 1 overall seed while Tech looks to keep its 4-seed. Sat., 6:30 p.m., ESPN

  • (4) Gonzaga (11) at Santa Clara. The Broncos are seeking their first NCAA bid in 30 years. 10:30 p.m., ESPN

  • (6) Clemson (1) Duke. Duke would hold on to its 1-seed, but lose the ACC lead, with a home loss. Noon, ESPN

  • (7) at Kentucky (3) at Florida. A 2-seed is on the horizon for the defending champion Gators. 3 p.m., ABC

  • (Last four in) Texas at (Last one in) Missouri. This could be the game of the day (year?) in terms of the overall bubble picture. 8:30 p.m., ESPN2

  • (First one out) TCU at (Next four outs) Oklahoma State. This is a second giant bubble game, this time on the wrong side. Noon, ESPN2

  • (Considered) Nevada (Last Four in) at San Diego State. The Aztecs’ hold on an at-large bid is tenuous at best. 10 p.m., CBSSN

  • (5) Virginia (First Four Out) Ohio State. It’s hard to believe the Buckeyes are still looking for their first Q1 win. 8 p.m., Fox

  • Yale (15) at Harvard. Yale needs to avenge its earlier loss to Harvard to regain the Ivy League lead. 6:30 p.m., ESPNU
