Tom Golisano has been appointed back to the position Philanthropy’s 50th Annual Charity List Fact SheetRanking 12y is among the country’s top donors and marks his fifth appearance on the top 50 list.

Since 2012, Special Olympics has partnered with Mr. Tom Golisano and… Golisano Foundation To improve the health of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) globally.

To date, Mr. Golisano has contributed more than $67 million to the launch and expansion Special Olympics Healthy Communities. Healthy Communities works to improve the health of people with IDD by increasing access to quality health care and effective prevention programs, increasing training for health care providers and students, and partnering with global organizations to support health equity. Since the beginning of the partnership in 2012, Special Olympics has been able to provide its services Over 1 million health screenings conducted and over 337,000 screenings conducted since 2022ensuring they receive follow-up care and ensuring that people with DID have access to health care in their communities year-round.

Thanks to Mr. Golisano’s generous philanthropy, Special Olympics is making health and preventive care services more accessible and comprehensive for Special Olympics athletes and other people with IDD around the world.
