Strengthening the midfield this summer appears essential for Liverpool, especially given the uncertainty over the long-term futures of Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo and Alexis McAllister.
While Bergvall is an obvious talent, Arne Slott’s side already have Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai capable of playing in an advanced midfield position so a move for the Spurs player makes little sense.
Instead, Liverpool will likely look to sign someone capable of adding some determination and physicality to the midfield. Thuram has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer of 2023, and he and Allan fit the age group the club often look to target. It’s definitely something to keep an eye on.
